Learn how an enterprising landlord created much needed work for women and in a landlocked county exported carpets worldwide even carpeting the staterooms of the ill-fated Titanic.
Mountmellick Museum
The main focus of the museum is to conserve and display the original pieces of Mountmellick's rich Quaker industrail past. The original embroidery designs were creaed in 1825 and were inspired by the flora and fauna on the banks of the River Owenass.
