Sardinia
Sardinia is the second largest island off the Italian coast and enjoys the warm waters and climate of the Mediterranean Sea. Its history dates back to the Romans, Byzantines and Arabs and their cultures are evident in many of the festivals on the island today.
The island stretches 24,000km by 9,000km and whether you go inland or stay by the coast, you will be charmed by the sheer natural beauty and breathtaking views.
There are many traditional villages and towns to visit on the island, all offering excellent cuisine, wine bars, great shopping and hand made crafts. For more lively entertainment, visit the capital city of Cagliari where you will find many theaters, shows, museums, nightclubs and a casino.
The local cuisine is predominately Italian with many courses of fresh breads, pasta, pizza and meats becoming a relaxing and enjoyable experience for each meal. Sardinia brings its own flair to the table with locally produced cheese, spit cooked meats, grilled seafood and excellent wine from their own vineyards.
