'Ar Ais Arís' is the Gaelic phrase for being back home. This is the name for our fabulous homely holiday home situated in the village of Waterville, one of Ireland premier sea-side resorts.
Built in 2003, the house is a four bedroom cottage style sleeping up to eight people. It has a country-style kitchen built around an open stone fireplace and a spectacular upstairs sitting room with amazing views of the Atlantic ocean and the world-renowned Waterville Golf club.
There are 3 double bedrooms on the ground floor, and 1 small double on the 1st floor. Two of our bedrooms are en-suite and the house has a spacious master bathroom. The house is set in five acres of native peat bog, teeming with wildlife, including pheasants. The house was sensitively designed by Kilkenny Architect Mark Kennedy, who took great care to ensure that the house sits sensitively into the beautiful Kerry landscape.
Off the kitchen/dining there is a great patio area for barbeques and sunbathing in total privacy! The upstairs sitting room floor has oak boards rough effect plaster and light streams in from all angles offering greatly varied views from sea to mountain to farmland.
The décor is traditional with lots of original furniture pieces giving visitors a great sense of homeliness. The first floor patio, off the sitting room is made of natural slate and has a stairs leading to the garden.
The hallway and kitchen has original Kilkenny limestone flooring and a handmade oak table and chairs made in Ennisnag, Co. Kilkenny.
Our facilities include washing and drying machines and a dish-washer. Heating is from an oil-fired central heating system complementing the two fine open fires in which you can enjoy a local peat fire. The sitting room contains a 32 inch TV (with Free to Air channels, all BBC, Channel 4, UTV, etc.) and DVD meterplayer with a Playstation 1 console.
Electricity & Oil Heating are extra and are read by meter. Esb charged at cost of 16 cent per litre and oil at cost €1 per litre
Pets are welcome at this property. An additional charge of €30 is applicable and payable to the caretaker for cleaning. Guests are asked to bring their own towels.

The Ring of Kerry (or Iveragh Peninsula to give it its correct name) is part of the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years.
