Killorglin the gateway to The Ring of Kerry has many fine restaurants, pubs and activities.

It is also the venue for one of Ireland's most unusual street festivals - Puck Fair. The fair is one of Ireland's oldest and is held on the 10th, 11th and 12th August every year with 12 hours of free family street entertainment

Killorglin is well known for its numerous lakes which provide ideal fishing grounds such as Lough Nakirka for trout fishing and Cara Lake for Salmon. As well as lake fishing there is also river and sea fishing (available at Ballykissane Pier, Killorglin ) and there are a number of Golf courses close by including Killorglin Golf Club (2kms from Árd Suain) and Dooks Golf Club (10kms from Árd Suain).

There are also many cycling, hill walking and bus tours available locally and Rossbeigh Blue Flag Beach is situated 15kms from Árd Suain.

There are plenty of lively spots to be found in the town of Killorglin with traditional music in many. There is a selection of fine restaurants to be found to cater for most tastes.

The Aqua Dome Tralee (18kms from Árd Suain) The Aqua Dome is a large waterworld featuring waves, rapids, rivers and slides. It offers a fun filled day for all the family. For adults only there is an exclusive sauna suite featuring sauna steam and cool pool. Outdoors is an 18 hole miniature golf course to test your putting skills and a remote control truck and boat area. In the summer season the Aqua Dome offers a cafe an shop along with an outdoor Bungee Trampoline, Giant Slide and Bouncy Castle (weather dependent).

The Kerry Bog Village Museum Located between Killorglin and Glenbeigh the museum gives an insight into how people lived and worked in Ireland in the 18th Century with exact replicas of dwellings used in Ireland in the early 1800's.

The Basement Museum Situated in Killorglin the Basement Museum houses an exhibition of history, tradition, legends and lore in old photographs and in print. There are many newspapers on display, some of them more than 200 years old. There are also items of historical interest such as boots worn by the Spailpins, the first tricolour flown in Killorglin (at the Puck Fair in 1920), and a model of a Barrell Top Gypsy caravan on display.
