Bunglasha Lodge is cleverly hidden down a scampering old roadway away from the outside world in a sheltered bay on the Southern Shores of Lough Derg.
With some 200 metres of lake frontage and unobstructed views to Holy Island (Inis Cealtra, the Island of the eight churches), Bunglasha Lodge is the ideal private location for Family Reunions, Celebrations, Romantic Breakaways, Business Meetings or that Special Occasion.

Its privacy is the key and is currently styled for self catering where you can relax in this beautiful Lakeshore Lodge and enjoy country walks, turf fires and Luxury Five Star Accommodation with modern kitchen facilities ideal for families, couples and for business.
Bunglasha's berthing pier is perfect for the discerning skipper who wishes to cruise or sail Lough Derg whilst enjoying the benefits of a private Hideaway Home.
The entrance to the Lodge is through a cut solid limestone porch which opens into a large entrance hall with vaulted timber ceilings and solid oak beams.
The lodge is elegantly decorated with huge sofas, mood lighting and an imposing open brick fireplace. The Fireside Bar which has Guinness and a Lager taps, is crafted from beautiful elm timber. Rugs add warmth to the marble and oakwood flooring throughout. French doors lead from the Reception Room on to the stone paved terraces and barbeque area for relaxed summertime dining.
The unified colour schemes in the bedrooms create a cosy and intimate feel. Three of the bedrooms have wonderful views overlooking the Lake. Downstairs the main bedroom, complete with jacuzzi, shower room, toilet facilities and walk in wardrobe incorporates direct access to the stone paved patio overlooking the lake.
The house can accomadate 10 to 12 people comfortably. For larger parties Bunglasha can accomadate up to 25 people. (Please let us know at time of booking).

Leisure activities:
Bunglasha is 40 minutes drive from Shannon Airport and is situated approximately half way between Scarriff and Killaloe on the shores of Beautiful Lough Derg.
The deep water harbour and berthing facilities for a 20 foot cruiser make Bunglasha an ideal playground for your party to enjoy a daytime or evening cruise to local spots such as Mountshannon, Garrykennedy, Killaloe, Aughinish Bay and Holy Island (Inis Cealtra).
Take the 'Taxi by Boat' and explore the famous Scarriff river cruise – proclaimed by legendary Irish Broadcaster, Gay Byrne as “Heaven on Earth”.
Harbours and Marinas dot the shoreline. You can experience the Irish traditional music festivals from Doonbeg to Miltown Malbay, Lisdoonvarna and Feakle.

Local Area Bunglasha Lodge is situated 10kms from the town of Killaloe. Spanning the River Shannon at the southern point of Lough Derg, Killaloe has a vast array of activites on offer, both on land and water, aswell as historic sites of interest.
Killaloe itself is made up of charming narrow streets filled with boutiques, cafes and craft shops and each Sunday there's a farmers market on the bridge. There are also plenty of restaraunts and pubs where you can soak up some local atmosphere.

Local Area Overview
Killaloe is a Shannonside village located on the eastern Border of County Clare. It is located 18 miles from Limerick City and 41km from Shannon Airport.
It is the busiest fishing and boating centre in the Midwest region. Killaloe is starting point of the "Shannon Cruise". From here it is possible to navigate all the way to Lough Key in Sligo,
Killaloe is a network of charming narrow streets, with old shops and houses, that go all the way up the hillside and look down over the 13th century cathedral.
To the north of Killaloe , a new marina caters for the hundreds of leisure craft that make Killaloe one of the best centres for water activities. Watersports are a focal point of Killaloe. You can hire boats of all sizes from rowing boats to cabin cruisers.
The old canal banks, disused railway line and narrow streets and footpaths of the old town makes it a most delightful place to wander through.
