House Overview

Cahir Lodge is a private detached house on its own grounds situated approx 3.5 miles from Kenmare Town Centre. Cahir Lodge has three bedrooms and has a capacity to accommodate 7 guests. Traditional in style, with timber floors and original stone fire place, Cahir Lodge has a warm, cozy atmosphere with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.

The house is fitted with authentic antique furnishings and original paintings to give an old world feel to the rooms. Cahir Lodge has it’s own private deck with out door garden furniture and a BBQ for guests enjoyment. Ample parking space in private drive entrance with gates for privacy.

This two storey house is spacious, bright and classic style in finish. Cahir Lodge consists of three bedrooms – Master Bedroom (Ensuite), Family room with a Double / Single and one Twin room. Main bathroom also has a Jacuzzi bath and double “Walk In” shower. The back garden is totally private and leads on to a private deck where garden furniture and BBQ is provided.

The kitchen in Cahir Lodge is classic American Style open plan kitchen designed in cream and black with various works of art displayed all over the house. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with all modern conveniences including electric cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and separate tumble dryer and microwave. In addition, all necessary kitchen utensils and crockery are provided. The kitchen also has French doors which lead on to the private deck for private sunbathing and relaxation.

The house is heated with oil central heating and there are storage heaters in each room. The open fire in the living room will burn coal, turf and wood. Please ensure to cover an open fire with the fireguard provided. To be really effective the fire should be cleaned out old ashes daily (when about to be lit again).

Your caretaker can also arrange to find a babysitter if you give sufficient notice. Prices of babysitters vary, dependent on time and number of children to sit for. We advise the contact details and references for our babysitters; however parents must liase with and employ babysitters directly.

Cahir Lodge are happy to accept smaller dogs. A Kennel and food dishes are provided on the private deck for your pets accomodation. Please note that dogs are not allowed to sleep in the main house. A pet supplement of €30.00 applies. Due to the fact that there are many neighbouring sheep farms, dogs must be supervised and kept on a lead at all times.

Extra Charges:
Utilities (Electricity, Oil & Cleaning) is charged at €100 per week; this is payable in cash to the onsite supervisor upon arrival.
