House Overview

Daisy Cottage is a lovely 1 bedroom cottage in a recently refurbished stone building courtyard. There are only 5 cottages (2-3 bedroom) in this lovely complex which oozes Olde World Charm.

These are set on a quiet country road in a tranquil rural setting, the cottages are a part of of 170 acre stud and beef farm at the foot of Croghan Mountain, which boasts fine views of rolling hills and distant valleys. During your stay you will meet many of the friendly little dogs, donkeys, horses and cattle that are part of this working farm, you may even experience the birthing of a calf, foal or puppies. The cuckoo still returns to this haven of tranquility every year.

Daisy cottage is a 1 bedroom converted stable with an open plan kitchen dining sitting room. All modern comforts including electric hob, oven, under the counter fridge with icebox as well as a wood burning stove, Cable TV and DVD player in the living area. There is a shower and WC and one bedroom with a double bed. Tastefully restored and well equipped and include duvets, Cable TV, microwave, and electric storage heaters. This cottage does not have a dishwasher, guests have use of washing machine and dryer in the main house.

Linen and towels included. Electricity is extra and payable locally at a weekly charge of 30€. Security deposit of 100€ to be paid on arrival. Well behaved dogs are welcome an extra cleaning charge of €25 per week applies. We can supply an extra bed for 1 child or adult. Cots and highchairs are available (subject to availability and must be booked in advance).

Facilities to bring your own horse on holiday and explore Wicklow on horseback at an extra cost. This is the ideal way to explore the Wicklow Mountains and surrounding countryside.

The nearest pub is only 2 miles away with a further selection in Tinahely which is only 4 miles away and has a further selection of pubs, restaurants and convenience stores. The nearest leisure centre would be in Gorey (9 miles). Clone Strand is only 8 miles away and is a lovely beach.
