Fota Island Resort is set in the heart of the unspoilt East Cork countryside, and yet a mere fifteen-minute drive from the city itself with its bustling streets and international airport.
All lodges are completed to a 5 star standard.
All the lodges have extensive equipped kitchens and multi-channel televisions in the living area and each bedroom. Furthermore, each lodge is internet enabled and the internal telephone system allows you all the comfort and access required to the Resort’s amenities and services.
The lodges have under floor heating, solid oak wooden floors topped by natural wool rugs with leather border detail. Highly specified surround sound system and speakers to living area, digital LCD TV with a DVD unit in the living room.

Courtyard Lodges:
The Couryard Lodges are closest to the Hotel & Spa development. The Lodges range in size from 738 sq.ft to 1550 sq.ft, these lodges are a wonderful mix of easy traditional styled exteriors with soft relaxing contemporary interiors, all encompassing the magic that is Fota.
These stunning detached lodges are located further from the hotel in a quiet and beautiful area of Fota over looking the Golf Course.

- The two bedroom Courtyard Lodges sleep up to 4 people in two double bedrooms. Each has 2 bathrooms.
- The three bedroom Courtyard Lodges sleep up to 5 people in three bedrooms - two double bedrooms and one single room. The master bedroom is ensuite and there is another shared bathroom.
These stunning detached lodges are located further from the hotel in a quiet and beautiful area of Fota over looking the Golf Course.
- The two bedroom courseside lodge size 130 m2, sleep up to 5 people in two bedrooms, One Double bedroom, en-suite. One bedroom with a Double & a Single Bed, en-suite. Guest Bathroom downstairs.
- The three bedroom Courseside Lodges size 130 m2, can sleep up to 5 people, in two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. Both double bedrooms are ensuite and there is a third shared bathroom.
- The three bedroom Coureside Superior size 130 m2, can sleep up to 6 people. Two Double Bedrooms, one en-suite. One Twin Bedroom. One Family / Main Bathroom. Downstairs combined Kitchen living and dining room. Guest Washroom.
- The four bedroom courseside superior, 175 m2, can sleep up to 7 people, has Two Double Bedrooms, each en-suite. One Twin Bedroom. One Single Bedroom ( Downstairs). One Family / Main Bathroom.

Fota Island Wildlife Park Conservation - Learning - FunFota Wildlife Park is one of Ireland's top ten visitor attractions and a perfect place to visit for people of all ages. Fota Wildlife Park is not like an ordinary zoo. Wherever possible the park have chosen animals that thrive in a free-range environment, which allows them to roam free, while mixed with other species and with us human visitors!
Fota House Fota House, Arboretum and GardensFota House formerly an 18th century hunting lodge, was the centrepiece of an estate which covered the entire 780 acres of Fota Island. The house has over 70 rooms, ranging from modest servant rooms to the large and beautifully proportioned principal rooms. Guided tours run hourly, and allow the visitor to experience the fine craftsmanship that was to be found in the 18th and 19th centuries, the fully restored kitchen and game larder, as well as one of the most important collections of Irish art and furniture in Ireland.
John Smith Barry also embarked on a programme of works to turn the entire island into an estate of parkland, woods and pleasure grounds. The arboretum, with its beautiful orangery, formal walled gardens, and 12 acres of parkland was begun in the mid 19th century, and today boasts one of the finest collections of rare and tender trees and shrubs grown outdoors in Ireland and Britain. Entrance charge applies to house and gardens.
Kids Camp Fota Island Hotel & Spa organise a multitude of fun camps and healthy activities for families to choose from during the school holidays. They plan to run more of the same during the mid-term break at the end of October so please check back for confirmed dates and times over the coming weeks.
Please Note Fota Island Resort operate weekly bookings with a Saturday arrival only during July & August and a Three Night stay or more on Bank Hoilday Weekends
Please note that there will be limited Leisure Facilities available on the Resort across Christmas Week.
< br> The Hotel will be Closing on Sunday evening the 21st after lunch service and Reopening on Saturday 27th at 12 noon.
The Golf Club will close on Christmas Eve at 12noon and Reopen on St Stephen’s Day afternoon.
- Golf: 18 hole championship golf course (guests of the Lodges are entitled to a 20% discount when booking golf)
- Swimming Pool: Children may enjoy the use of the pool between the hours of 9am-11am & 4pm-6pm every day but other times are restricted for use by adults only. There are arm bands, swimming rings etc available at the pool area.
- Spa Treatment rooms (at additional charge): Full service 1600 square meter destination spa with 17 treatment rooms
