House Overview
Il Palazzaccio, like Villalta, is part of the S. Fabiano estate situated at the gates of the city of Arezzo, just 1 km from the old city centre. It occupies a fine, peaceful hilltop position, set amidst an enchanting landscape of olives, vineyards and woods. The villa dates to the sixteenth century, and skilful restoration has perfectly preserved the elegant original architectural style.
Furnished comfortably with excellent quality pieces and some antiques, TV, dishwasher, oven and freezer are also provided. Swimming-pool with spacious sun terrace. Included in the price are 24 hours' cleaning per week, with times to be agreed. Florence is 75 km away, Perugia 50. With the motorway link just 7 km away, it is an ideal starting-point for excursions all over Tuscany and Umbria. Very old, cosy villa "Il Palazzaccio", built in 1600, renovated 50 km from the centre of Perugia, 75 km from the centre of Firenze, 1 km from the centre of Arezzo, in a quiet position on top of a hill.

Leisure activities:
Arezzo is situated on a small hill on the edge of a wide valley basin between the high valley of Casentino, the Arno and the Chianti valleys. The town which lives from crafts and trade (known for goldsmith art) still displays many buildings from the Middle Ages. One can view the masterpiece of Piero della Francesca in the San Francesco church: the fresque "The Legend of the Cross". The antique market on the Piazza Grande is well-known. Important, historical city with 90'000 inhabitants, in the eastern part of the region, on a plain, on a river, convenient, 65 km north-east from Siena, 75 km south-east from Firenze. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: motorway A1 Firenze - Roma, exit number "Arezzo". Access by train Firenze - Roma. Railway station in the resort. For arrivals by plane: airport Firenze (FLR) 80 km.
