House Overview

Nestled amongst magical woodlands, spectacular trees and manicured lawns is the luxurious Mount Falcon Estate located between Foxford and Ballina, Co Mayo in one of the most beautiful parts of the West of Ireland.

The Estate comprises of the Mount Falcon Country House Hotel & Spa, fisheries – 2 miles of double riverside frontage, and a number of luxury self catering holiday homes set around a 100 acre estate.

Each of these courtyard homes are less than 150m from the hotel, set in a wonderful tranquil environment and furnished to a 4* deluxe standard. All the kitchens in the self catering homes have modern appliances which include electric cooker and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave as well as a double bowl Belfast sink and granite counter tops. The utility rooms have washer dryers and ample storage and work tops.

Each home has central heating, open fires and flat screen televisions (with terrestrial channels). The homes are a mixture of solid timber & natural stone flooring in living & dining rooms, high quality soft furnishings combining rich leathers, cool linens & fabrics in earthy tones. The homes have under-floor heating and the living rooms have a natural stone open fire or an antique cast iron stove as well as a patio area or private open plan garden area.

The 3 bedroom homes are set out on ground floor level and are made up of a separate kitchen and utility area, open plan dining living area with open fire/wood burning stove, three double bedrooms, (two of which have ensuite showerooms). There is also a main bathroom with shower over bath.

The 4 bedroom homes are spread out over two floors and made up of an open plan kitchen dining area with adjoining living room with open fire/wood burner. The ground floor also boasts a double bedroom, utility area and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms, (two of which have ensuite showerooms) and a main bathroom with separate shower and bath.

If you wish to spend your time in a peaceful and secluded setting, but still want to enjoy all the facilities on offer in the main hotel, these wonderful retreats are an answer to your dream. What better way for guests to relax, than enjoy a swim in the 17m indoor heated pool, which projects into the surrounding woodland - a perfect place to appreciate and enjoy the natural beauty of the estate outside. A steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and gym, with the very latest equipment, ensure both leisure and business guests can enjoy a luxurious spa and leisure break in Mayo. Guests have complimentary access to the leisure facilities from 7am to 10 pm Monday / Friday and 9am – 8 pm Saturday / Sunday and bank holiday weekends. Children have access to the pool from 7am to 7pm and must be supervised. The grounds are also ideal for walking, fishing and clay pigeon shooting can be arranged.

Extra Charges:

A €200 Security Deposit is required on arrival, this will be refunded provided that there have been no breakages/damages.
Electricity and heating are included in the rate as are bed linen and towels.
Cots and high chairs can be requested (subject to availability).
Extra cleaning during your stay can be arranged at an extra charge of €100 (payable locally).
