Roebuck House is set in the heart of the Irish countryside. The entire area is a haven of unspoilt natural beauty. Among the natural attractions is Lough Sheelin, a very beautiful lake hidden among the gently undulating hills. It is ideal for fishing boating or for taking a stroll along its picturesque shores.

This area was once the capital of Celtic Ireland, and has an abundance of Stone and Bronze Age monuments, including Newgrange, which is older than the great pyramids of Egypt.
