House Overview

The house itself is bright and very spacious, Decorated to a very high standard with underfloor heating and games room.

The property comprises of 3 bedrooms located on the ground floor, 2 double rooms and one twin room. There is a 4th double room upstairs. All of the bedrooms are en-suite, with the master bedroom having a jacuzzi bath. Bed linen and towels are included.

The living area is suitated on the first floor of the house which captures the stunning views over Lough Key and comprises of fully fitted open plan kitchen with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The living room has satelitle television, DVD player, CD player and Radio.

There is a roof top patio off the kitchen/living room on the first floor which attracts the sun and is a nice place to eat or sunbath outdoors.

The garden area is large with flowers, shrubs and a lawn area. The patio at the front of the house is equipped with BBQ and garden furniture.

The house also has a games room with a pool table, table tennis and darts. Bicycles are also available for hire on request.

Trinity Lodge Lough Key is an elegant stone cut house finished and decorated throughout to a very high standard. It is located in a unique setting, amidst beautiful Lough Key Forest Park, Boyle, Co. Roscommon. The house is south facing, overlooking the waters of Lough Key - and 20 acres of ground with lake frontage.

A nature trail leads down to the lake where you can fish, swim or water ski.

You can also enjoy the privilage of your own private Jetty, where you are able to hire a boat should you wish to take a trip around the lake or cross the other side to visit one of the many Restaurants and other attractions that are available.

Leisure activities:

Guests have been coming to Trinity Lodge for the past 5 years. We get a lot of repeat business and I will outline below the preferred list of attractions and things to do as documented by past guests of Trinity Lodge.

Fishing would be the number 1 attraction. The area is renowned world wide for both river and lake fishing. The river Shannon can be accessed directly from Lough Key and there are several other fishing lakes in the immediate area.

Lough Key Forest Park has been fully refurbished and now has a Children’s adventure park, Tree Top walks with hundreds of acres to explore. The Arigna Mines experience, King House in Boyle, (just 5 miles away) Boyle Abbey, Animal Farm and The Dock Theatre in Carrick on Shannon.are all local attractions.

While things to do include Cootehall Adventure Centre for water sport, an excellent 18 hole golf course, Local Equestrian Centre for lessons and Trekking. Hill Walking in the Arigna Mountains, Day Cruises on the Shannon. Fishing with a guide can be a great experienceArea attractions

Lough Key Forest Park with its large combination of quiet walks, wildlife, and beautiful scenery has drawn admirers from all walks of life. The 800 acres, which make up the park, were formally part of the Rockingham Estate. There are boats for hire and trips around the lake. Just some of the places to find and visit are The Wishing Chair, The Ice House, Drummans Bridge and The Tunnel.

King House Boyle Recently restored Georgian Mansion, steeped in history is a must to visit; there you will see the connection between the Rockingham Estate and King House.

Origin Farmers Market Every Saturday, 10am to 2pm, in Grounds of King House, Boyle. Experience the atmosphere of a traditional market. The opportunity to purchase locally produced organic wholesome product, local meat, freshly caught fish and much more.

The Moorlands Equestrian Centre located in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim. Offers daily riding lessons and pony trekking. They also run Summer camps for children. Also in Drumshanbo is an outdoor swimming pool and play area for children with slides, swings, tennis courts and climbing frames.

Arigna Mining Experience Offers a unique Underground Tour in what was Ireland's last working Coal Mine. This is an education in terms of History and Human endurance, which gives our visitors an insight into a working way of life you could not imagine.
