House Overview

Bluebell Cottage is part of a recently refurbished stone built courtyard that is ozzing with "Old World" Charm. Set on a quiet country road in a tranquil rural setting, the cottages (3 in total) are part of a 170 acre stud and beef farm at the foot of Croghan Mountain, which boasts fine views of rolling hills and distant valleys.

Bluebell cottage is a 2 bedroom (sleep 5) two storey building with an open plan kitchen-dining-sitting area with a real wood burning stove, Cable TV, CD player, comfortable furnishings, and electric hob and oven. Just a few steps up from the sitting room there is a spacious double bedroom with a shower and toilet nearby. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a double and a single bed. All ceilings and floors are wooden. This house is a converted pig sty with loft overhead and thus has lots of character and charm throughout.

Tastefully restored and well equipped and include duvets, Cable TV, microwave, and electric storage heaters. This house does not have a dishwasher, guests have use of washing machine and dryer in the main house. Linen and towels included. Electricity is extra and payable locally. Well behaved dogs are welcome at extra cleaning charge of EUR30 per week.

We want our guests to feel they have stepped back in time when they arrive at our renovated old courtyard situated on our working farm. One cannot but unwind and feel relaxed when they step out of their car and view the surrounding Valleys and Mountains and they are greeted by our many friendly dogs, horses and donkeys. Our guests may assist in a baby calf being born or a foal or even a pup if they want. Nature is always alive in Toberpatrick be it picking mushrooms in the field, listening to the Cuckoo or just at night looking at the moon which always looks more powerful amidst the close mountains.
